Balloon Festival

We went to Celina, TX last night to a Hot Air Balloon Festival. We walked around and I got suckered into buying a dress for Maggie. Then we all sat down and ate while we listened to music. It was not so hot outside so it was great to be outside and not sweating. At 8:30 they were going to have a balloon glow. I saw pics online and it looked like it would be great --- but it was too windy and so they only got one balloon inflated. We still had a great time being ouside sitting in the grass and watching the one balloon. Maggie had a great time!!!

Maggie preps for the watermelon eating contest

Babe said everyone loves watermelon and she was right!!! I even like the green stuff.
I never did find any seeds to spit in this piece. What do they look like Babe?
All cleaned up and ready for bed.
Babe just wears me and my mother out when she comes to Dallas. She is always saying "Lets go!" I try to catch a nap anywhere and anytime I can.

Swimming Lessons

I invited Babe to drive to Dallas to check out what I learned in swimming lessons. Mom and I were really showing off in class today. Look at me splash!!

I walked to the kitchen and came back and she was under her Baby Einstein. Boy this crawling is going to change our lives. We have lots of things to move to a higher level very soon.

She's on the move!!!

OMG!!! She is crawling!!!! I put her on the floor and got the camera just in case. We put some toys out in front and she came crawling to get them. I can't believe that I got it on video!!! She will be 7 months on Sunday the 22nd. Watch out Darby Kate!!! She is so proud of herself she has not stopped yet!!! I feel like I lost my little baby and she is a big girl now. Below is the video of her first crawling!!! Baby I am so proud of you!!

Cherries and Bath time

Maggie was eating cherries this morning. As you can see she likes them a lot. After cherries we needed a bath. She loves to take bathes and will stay in as long as you let her. I took a picture the other day of her toes when she got out because they looked like little rasins.

This is a video from the park today. Maggie loves to go swinging in the park. So I finally got a viedo of the fun that we have out there. I don't know how to turn it so that is is upright.

Meeting Aunt Carolyn (Mimi)

Maggie and I went to Bedford today to have lunch with Aunt Carolyn. She was so glad to finally meet her. Aunt Carolyn had toys and plenty of room to play. We had such a great time. I can't belive we don't do it more often. She gave me some pics of my grandmother to copy which I am so excited about. I look forward to our next visit. Thanks Aunt Carolyn!

Auntie L's trip to Hot Springs

Linda Lee and Lance were in Hot Springs this past weekend so we got to hang out with them. We had such a great time. Maggie is really loving the swimming pool. She was not so happy about the lake this time around. When she is in her straight jacket (life jacket) she would just rather sleep the whole time but she is so good when we are out. She will literally sleep just about the whole time.

She left those glasses on the whole time. She didn't even bother taking them off.

Green Beans and Banana

We went to Hot Springs this weekend and it was our first time to try baby food. We have been giving her rice cereal but no veggies or fruit. So I let mom give her her first green beans. You can see the reaction on her face to those. We were out on the porch, looking at the lake trying to make it a memorable moment. She didn't really care about the surroundings --- green beans are still nasty. I started with veggies because that is what I have read but mom says I turned out just fine and wanted to give her fruit. So below is a picture of maggie and a banana. She loved it and just played with it.

Swimming with Darby Kate

The girls go together on Sunday morning to go swimming together. I love to see the girls together and hope that they continue spending time together in the future. They are both so special!!!



Both girls have a car at home and now we have a car at Babe's house. They really enjoy riding around in the car.
