School Pictures were Thursday. I love love love when they dress alike. So this was another opportunity for me to dress them alike. Last year they took a few pictures together of them. I was hoping for that this year and it happened. I just hope that they smiled for the camera. Before school I asked them to get together and SMILE for the camera like they were going to do at school. This is what I got ---- I'll take it. Love these sweet babies.
** Just for me to remember --- When I put on Maggie's knee socks she said "Mom why are you pulling my socks way up to my knees?" She normally wears tights and not socks. Love her curiosity.

Candyland (Halloween Activity #3)
Maggie's friend Parker invited her to their Fall Festival at their church in Rockwall. So after debating --- we decided to dress up and go. We called Nicole and asked if they wanted to join us. The theme was Candyland (like the game). They had games galore, candy galore, hay rides, a horse to pet, face painting, food, silent auction and anything else that goes along with a fall festival. My kids had a great time. Turner acted so big. He would get in line for a game and say Turner, Turner just waiting on his turn. I was such a proud momma. So we played lots of games, ate candy, ate dinner and finally concluded with a hay ride. It was wild. The tractor driver was pretty fast and a little wild. I was holding on to my two kids and hoping I could hold on myself. Nicole was sitting across from me with eyes as big as saucers and holding her kids for dear life. All in all we had a great time. It was the start of our week full of Halloween activities.
Just for my memories: Someone asked me if they were twins. I said "no just brother and sister." Then she said "Which one is a girl and which one is a boy?" I said "This is the girl and this is the boy." They turned to their friend and said "its boy and girl twins." I said "no they are not twins. Just brother and sister." She said "Really????" I said "yes -- she is almost 4 and he is almost 2." It was pretty amazing. I know they do look alike but twins?????
Maggie and Hudson --- so very cute.
We started off with face painting.
I love the little guy getting his face painted with a pop pop in his mouth. So big but yet so small.
Turner and Harper along for the ride.

Pumpkin Patch #2
We went to the pumpkin patch in Rockwall on Sunday. Our church invited all the children to meet there at 3. Well I decided that I would go but AFTER naps at our house. Maggie had Awanas following the pumpkin patch so I wanted everyone rested up. Jackson and Sherry met us over in Rockwall and there was no one from the church there. Oh well we enjoyed ourselves and had a great time. They ran through the hay maze, looked at the pumpkins and even participated in a few pictures. We had a great time together. Sherry, Turner and I met for dinner after the pumpkin patch and while Maggie was at church. It was great catching up with each other.
Maggie was acting silly!
Turner wanted to walk on the hay bales like the big kids were doing.
The kids were having to apologize to the manager because they tore up foam that was protecting some posts. After they said they were sorry the manager gave them stamps on their hand so Turner was quick to run over and hold his hand out.

Monster Mash - Halloween Event #1
We had the annual Monster Mash this year at Etienne's house. We all dressed up and took pics first before we got dirty or just lost our costumes. Next we had the ribbon cutting for Etienne's new playground. After lots and lots of fun playing we colored a picture and then we went on a monster egg hunt. These kids were ready for snacks when we got back inside. So it was time for the SUGAR! We had lots of it too. All the food was great! After the sugar overload we went back outside to play. They had such a great time just being free and playing with each other. We had a great time at the Monster Mash!

Turner --- I think it was a nervous smile --- he was on the third level.
Jackson --- too scary
Who is that behind that mask?
Off to the Monster Egg Hunt.
Here is the group. Group pictures are a little on the tough side.
Maggie loved those cupcakes.
Turner had his eye on this and that is all he wanted!

Wild Hair Day at WCA
It was Wild Hair Day at school. Maggie suggested that she sleep on sponge rollers. I agreed to try it and see what crazy hair we woke up with. Her hair is so straight that we sprayed and sprayed so that the curls would stay in all day at school. Ok so what to do with Turners hair so that it would be crazy and not look like a girl. So mom suggested that we try and slick it back. We had gel and hairspray and his hair would not stay back. So we let it do what it wanted to do. I asked MiMi what it looked like when she picked him up and she said --- normal--- oh well we tried. I thought Maggie's hair actually looked cute more than wild.
Old Friends
Maricio and Gabby came over to have dinner with us last week. It was so good to see them --- it had been about 1 year. Tiagos birthday was around the corner so we decided to make it a dinner/birthday celebration for him. Maggie and Tiago play so very well together it is just amazing. Turner was up for a little bit but was in bed very soon after they arrived. We had never met the newest addition to the family. He is so precious and just smiles all the time. Maggie and Tiago had so much fun playing with Maricio. I allowed them both to blow out candles in their dessert. Then they wanted to do it over and over and over again. We had so much fun and really enjoyed their visit.
