School Program

Maggie had her end of the school year program last Thursday afternoon.  All of the 3 year old classes were performing together.  Babe, Mimi and I were there to watch Maggie perform.  They sang lots of songs and Maggie was pretty in to it.  I was really proud of her! She knew all the songs and did all the motions and was not too shy.  Maggie --- you made mommy very proud!!!

Maggie's teachers Ms. Patti and Ms. Shaylene.  We had such a great year.  I am sad to see it come to an end. Thank you both for all that you did.

Arboretum

This year we got a family pass to the Arboretum and it has been worth every penny it cost.  We have been quite a few times and take friends with us when we go.  My kids love running around and having picnics.  The new display at the Arboretum this summer and fall is the Chihuly hand blown glass.  Nicole and I decided we needed to go see it and have a picnic.  Well the day we went it started raining as we pulled into the parking lot.  So we had a picnic in the car.  After about 15 minutes it quit and we decided to just go for as long as the rain would hold off.

This Chihuly display is amazing!  These pictures do not do it justice.  It is so worth a trip there to check it out.  I can't believe that all this is outside in the gardens but I guess that is what insurance is for.  It is there until November and so I foresee another picnic on a pretty day very soon.

Turner and Hudson were throwing in pennies and making a wish.

Family Pictures

We had family pictures made in Hope while we were there for Lola's birthday.  My friend Betsi did them for me.  We decided to go downtown and have them made. Our downtown has lots of different colored brick walls to choose from.  There is also a train depot downtown that has great picture places.  At the same time Trevor and his family were having pictures made and were downtown also.  When we all finished up we met up at Tailgaters and had lunch together.  After a morning of pictures we all went home and took naps.

I could do a collage of these pictures titled "The many faces of Maggie".  Turner was not in a very smiley mood so we have a lot of serious faces from him.  Thanks Betsi!

Little Birdie's Birthday

Lola Bell had her first birthday a couple of weekends ago.  She had a precious little birdie party.  It is really hard to believe that she can already be one!  She is one of the sweetest babies I know.  She is always quiet -- unless she is wanting to eat.  Pretty sure that goes with being in our family though.  We all really enjoyed getting to celebrate Lola's first birthday with her.

They each got to take home some little birdseed feeders that Jodi made.  Very cute!
We tried to join in the theme of birds.
 Precious little DK!
She couldn't even wait until the candle was blown out.  She loved the cake!

Using tongs to get him a piece of pineapple --- guess all the cookies were gone.
