Maggie's School Year

Maggie went to WCA our church preschool this year for the first time. She was in KDO2 with Ms. Denise and Ms. Stephanie. She went Tuesday/Thursday from 9-2. It was a great class with lots of little girls in there. She made lots of new friends!!! I was so proud of her this year and all of the things that she learned. They even got her to take a nap and got to see just how she is when she wakes up! All who know Maggie know that that doesn't happen very often. She loved school but usually acted pretty shy when we got there. We also know that Maggie is not shy!!! She liked to go take Turner to his class first and then we could go to her class. I would always pick up Turner first and he would point all the way until we got to her class. He loved to pick up his sister.

She had two great teachers that were so interactive with her and always told me funny things that Maggie did or said at school. Maggie got to go to chapel, music, gym and library. She enjoyed all of these very much. I am pretty sure she listened because she would come home and tell me stories or sing me songs. It just makes me smile because I know she is learning so much.

I am so thankful to her all her teachers this year that loved, cared for and taught my little Maggie. You all made it a great first year. Maggie and Ms. Denise at Meet the Teacher night

They took one of both kids together. I think that was pretty thoughtful.

Maggie's class. At the beginning of the year it was only 5 little girls and one boy and by the end of the year there were quite a few new kids. Maggie made lots of new friends this year.

Turner's School Year

Turner went to our church school preschool this year. He was in the infant class along with 5 other little ones. He had the best teachers I could have ever asked for. Ms. Teena and Ms. Marsha. They gave him all the attention that he needed and so that made it a lot easier for me to leave him two days a week. I knew that everyday he was there they were loving him so much. One day when I saw a teacher kiss him on the cheek it just melted my heart and also confirmed that he was right where he needed to be. He was one of the oldest in his class but the last one to walk for sure. He walked pretty good the last week of school.

They got to go to music class and library also. They also went on stroller rides around the school and outside. They all ate lunch around 11:00 and napped for about 1 1/2 hours after that. I just loved seeing that little smile when I would show up at the door and he would look around and see me. The last day of school was really hard for me. I left with tears in the morning when I dropped him off and left with tears in the afternoon knowing he was growing up and wouldn't be in the infant class any longer.

He had a great first year at school and I am so thankful for everything Ms. Teena and Ms. Marsha did for my little boy!!!

What a weekend!!!

We decided that Darby should go with us to Hot Springs for the weekend so that Lola could get adjusted to being home or should I say her Mom and Dad get adjusted. Friday morning after I got my hair cut we headed to Hot Springs. We played outside and the girls even went swimming in the little pool. I have a few pictures from that but they decided that they didn't want to wait to put swimming suits on so they got in without clothes. I better not post those! We went for a snow cone Friday afternoon and then Mom and Dad had a date for dinner and a play. I took the kids to Chick-fil-A to eat and play. This is where it gets a little messy! While in the play area I smelled something terrible and noticed it was my child. I got the girls and we got out of there and undressed Turner in the car and found a clean diaper that we stuck on him until we could get him home (it was a big mess and I was not prepared). Maggie had been saying her tummy hurt. Both of the girls were saying "Ewwww Turner stinks!!!" When we got home as I was unloading Turner, Maggie was at the door spitting up (that's her word and I like it better than throwing up). I got them in the tub and cleaned up and everyone in bed. I was tired by then. Later I got sick in the middle of the night. Mom said her tummy had been rumbling and not feeling the best. The next morning everyone seemed ok but we just didn't have it in us to go and do all the fun stuff we had planned. Later that day Darby started spitting up and spit up most of the night. Maggie would run in the room and let us know that it was happening again. Bless her heart she was so very good. Luckily Dad bought them two new movies that day so they watched them over and over and over. Sunday morning we woke up and everyone felt better.

We have decided that this is from the snow cones. Its the only thing we all ate. We all got sick - except Dad because he didn't eat one. Who knew that could happen? We survived and enjoyed just being together even if we were all sick.

Lola Bell Coffee

Lola Bell Coffee has arrived!!! She made her entrance to this world on May 11, 2011. Jodi delivered pretty quick. I know Lola was ready to meet the world. We didn't get to be there for her birth but we went on Thursday to meet her. Jodi and Lola got to come home on Thursday afternoon so we got to see her when we got to Hope. She is just precious. I think she looks like the other girls but she just doesn't have the cheeks yet. I know they will be here because every one of Babe and Poppy's grand kids has had a set of cheeks! Darby is such a proud big sister. Jorgia was not that interested. Maggie was very egar to hold her and love on her. She asked lots of questions about how Lola got out of Jodi's tummy.

Darby Kate had me in tears laughing so hard! After begging to hold her Trevor brought Lola over and Darby was holding her. Darby looked at Trevor and said "Move Daddy its not like I'm going to drop her" (remember 3 years old so add the sassy tone to it). Lola was fussing a little and Darby looked at Trevor and said "can you bring me a pacifier." Then Trevor said "If I leave I am going to take Lola with me" and Darby quickly said "She is not yours, she is ours and we are going to share her." I have never laughed so hard and Trevor was trying really hard to keep a straight face. I am sure that there will be many more funny moments to come.

Maggie was so excited to hold her.

Sweet little Lola

Finally I got to hold her for a minute. Thanks for sharing her with me Darby!

Mothers Day Weekend

We were in Hot Springs for Mothers Day weekend. We had a great weekend. Not a lot of plans or things that we had to do but lots that we wanted to do. We got out the swimming pool and the kids got to swim for the first time this season. We went and picked up the boat from storage so we got our first boat ride for the season and Poppy has two co-captains this year. Turner was not real sure or happy about the life jacket this year. We all went and played put put and we all had a great time. Dad and I had to play around Turner crawling all over the hole. Hey what so hard about a moving obstacle. Also they had a couple of bird nests that we got to watch all weekend. One really close to the door so we had to watch out for mommy bird because she kept her eye on us all weekend.

Mothers Day we went to church and then to lunch at On the Border. Both kids were on their best behavior so that made my day. Turner fell asleep in my moms arms and that made her day. He is not a baby to get still or to sleep in your arms. So he has to be really tired to do that. We all went home and got a nap. Maggie watched cartoons with Lexi and all of us napped. After naps we packed up and went to Hope and had dinner at the Coffee's house. Trevor has a new toy so we rode around on that and the kids got to play in the back yard. Maggie and Darby played very well together and even found some make up that they played with. Boy the look on their face when I walked in the room was priceless. Dinner was great. I had a great Mothers Day!!! One of the baby birds by the door

Swimming for the first time this season. Yea we forgot our swimming suits. So we swam in our panties and diaper.

I love this picture. She is such a doll.

We gave mom this plate that we made at a pottery place. It was a great experience. I hope to do it again some day.

I love when they match. Even Bitty Baby got to go to church and matched this Sunday.

Look at that face. Yes he is always up to something.

Turner and Maggie are the loves of my life. I cannot imagine my life without either one of them. I love you with all my heart. Thanks for a great Mothers Day!!!

Trevors new toy!
