The Luau

July 15th my niece turned 3 years old. So we headed to Hope for the weekend and for the big luau. We had a great time. It was a luau/swimming party. Maggie had just finished 1 week of swimming lessons and so she was being brave as ever. We had great food (bbq sliders , slaw, beans, chips and mango salsa), cupcakes and cookies.
Turner always loves a good party.

The cake! Mom and I made it! Dad did help with coloring the fondant.

Maggie helped us with the cupcakes.

Hot already and the party had not even started.

Miss priss!

I love this picture!

3 girls in grass skirts! That was the best I could do by myself.

Tina did a great job on the watermelons.

Very cute family!

The end!

Fun with Family

We went to Hope in mid July for Darby Kate's birthday. These are just some pics from that weekend around Babe's house. Darby came over and played all day on Saturday. Maggie loves when they get together. As I was finding the pics she saw a pic of Darby and said "I love her. She is my favorite cousin." That is her favorite phrase right now "That is my favorite _____"
They were watching it rain. I love seeing these two play together or Maggie just giving him a little love. She is such a sweet sister to him.

Babe thought it was a great idea to play in the rain.

We were going to visit some friends around town. Such sweet girls!!!

Darby Kate likes showing Maggie that she can pick her up.

Pick n Edom

We loaded up one morning with Jackson and Sherry and went to Edom, TX to pick blueberries. We were really not sure what we were getting in to. So we got there and changed the kids clothes because we loaded up in our pj's. After changing, going potty, and getting Turner fed we were ready to pick. We got our baskets and we were off. They told us to eat all we wanted in the field and pick pick pick. We brought a lunch for a picnic and then they had a little country store with blueberry ice cream, blueberry jam and the best ever blueberry pie. It was just a great day all around.

Maggie and Jackson had lots of fun running up and down the rows and playing in the dirt. They did eat lots of blueberries too.

Trying to find the sweet ones.

We were all a little hot and tired and Maggie was eating blueberries from Jackson's basket. She had her own but just ate his for the fun of it. Little stinker!
