NYE 2012

 I could not have asked for a better NYE 2012!  I had the best time with my brother and his family!  They were planning to go to FL for a birthday party with some friends but the weather changed their plans.  So when I was leaving the day after Christmas he said they might just come to Dallas.  I said "OK" and inside I was trying to figure out how to get all I had to do and clean house and get ready for company.  It all worked out just like it should have.

Saturday they came and we (adults) went to Dallas shopping and to dinner.  It was a very nice get away.  Dinner was great!

Sunday we all went to church and came home to take naps and rest before going to see Mickey Mouse.  Trevor and Lola stayed home and we all went to enjoy the show.  Sherry had gotten everyone all matching outfits for Christmas and so it was a special time for all our friends to get together except that Sherry and Jackson didn't make it because they were a little late getting home from CO.  We all had a great time though.  I know Trevor and Lola had a great time watching football together too!

Monday (NYE) was a rainy nasty day but we went out shopping with all kids that day.  I had to run a few errands that morning and when I got home Trevor had them lined up bathing them --- it was a sight!  We hit 1 store and then Chuck E Cheese for a late lunch.  Everyone had a great time there!  We adults called in a little sushi order to go on the way home.  Then it was our turn to go out that night!  We had debated over where to go.  About 4:30 Trevor noticed he had a message from Marquee Grill (our first pick for dinner) and they had a cancellation and so we got to move our reservation there!  Jodi and I have a thing for celebrities!  So the head chef at Marquee Grill is Tre Wilcox off Top Chef and we had a goal of getting our picture made with him. 

So the babysitters arrived and we were off to catch the DART train to Mockingbird Station.  I have to say I was a little scared at night riding the DART even with my brother.  We made it and then got a cab to the restaurant.  We checked in and then headed upstairs to the bar to have a special cocktail --- mine was not so good :(.  While we were waiting on our table Jodi and I were trying to catch a sneak peak at Tre.  Well little did we know that our table would be in the small dining room in front of the kitchen where we could watch him cook all night long.  We were in AW!  The food was really good and Jodi and I talked to enough waiters and managers that we got Tre to come to the table and talk to us and sit and take a picture.  Trevor was not sure that we could pull it off.  That was not enough for us we finally at the end of dinner got up and went to the kitchen and had another pic made.  It was almost midnight so we headed upstairs for the champagne toast and who was right beside us toasting but Tre Wilcox.  We were just loving every minute of it.  We toasted and danced and then made our way back to the house to let the sitter go.  Wow we had a great night!

Sunday-- well it was a slow start to say the least but Dillards was having their biggest sale of the season.  Jodi felt great so I got up and Trevor volunteered to keep all 5 kiddos while we went and shopped.  We had a great time and found lots of good buys!  After all the fun of shopping they were on their way home to Arkansas! 

It was a wonderful weekend and I loved spending time with everyone of them!  I hope that we do it again soon!  Love yall Coffee's!

Christmas 2012

 We had a great Christmas this year. I really enjoyed being home with the family.  Here is a picture overload of Christmas Eve through Christmas Day!

 This is a group of 5 sweet kiddos!  I just love them to pieces!

 So Maggie, Darby, and Turner got to open one early. 

 We love the Bear Family!  I love that my kids enjoy them too since it was a favorite growing up.

Now we will be prepared when going out to Tooth Acres

 Maggie wrote the letter this year and I was so proud of her.

 Yay! Turner got the airplane that he had been asking for!

 We were planning on going home on Christmas but it turned WHITE outside and so we decided that we would stay! It is such fun when its a white Christmas!

 

When we finally got home Maggie and Turner insisted that we put together the rocket ship that Babe and Poppy got him. So that's exactly what we did!
