Birds with a feather flock together
These two girls are growing up so fast! Its hard to believe that Jodi and I were taking them to the beauty shop to get a feather in their hair! Darby wanted to get a feather for her 4th birthday and Maggie got to get one because she has started sleeping in her own room by herself. This is a huge deal at our house and so it had to be rewarded. I am so very proud of her! So they had a 10:00 appointment and off we went. Elaine gave them a bucket full of feathers and they got to each choose 1. There was a very pretty teal feather that I thought would be so pretty in Maggie's dark hair. Maggie and Darby both chose a pink and black striped feather. It took all of 5 minutes to put it in. They both sat very still while she put it in their hair. We had two very proud girls when it was all over with.

Twinkies
I just love dressing these two in coordinating clothes. It is just so much fun! Last year we got Maggie this dress and Turner had a matching shortall. Well her dress still fits this year and so I found something for Turner that matches it! I was so excited that after church I made them sit together and let me take pictures. It was hot outside but they cooperated and sat still long enough for me to get a few pictures. Maggie's hair had lost all the curl from church and Turner's cheeks were red as could be. Turner gave no smiles but at least he sat still. I might have had to bribe them with something but at least I have my pictures.
Oh I just love these two sweet babies!
Splish Splash Park
We have a great splash park pretty close to us in Rockwall. It is fun, free and its easy to watch 2 kids while you are there. This is the first time this summer we had been. Last year Maggie was not a fan of it at all. This year she loved it. Turner on the other hand just about took my skin off when we got close to it. After many tears he finally got a few drops of water on him. I thought he would love it! He loves to swim but this is not his thing. We met some friends out there and had a great time together.
We also went to the park to play but the equipment is just too hot to play on. So we will have to stick to the water from now on.
Maggie was waiting for the bucket of water to fall on her head.

4th of July (Part 2)
The second part of the weekend we spent on the lake and watching fireworks. My kids were like fish and wanted to stay in the water as much as possible. Turner got to go on the tube for the first time and HATED every minute of it. Maggie and I both love it! He did enjoy floating and swimming under the boat. He did much better with this life jacket than with the other one. Maggie has no problem wearing hers the whole time! That is such a blessing to not argue about that! We went to the neighbors house to watch the fireworks this year. We had dinner and sat out on the lawn and watched. It was Turners first fireworks to see. He seemed to like them. Poppy took Maggie and I to get some of our own. I love to pop fireworks! We had a great weekend!!!
