ITS A BOY

We went to the doctor on Monday to check on the bun in the oven and to our surprise we found out it was a BOY! I had in my mind the entire time that I was having a girl and I think that I had convinced Marcelo of the same thing. SO when she said Your daughter will have a little brother Marcelo and I both looked at each other with lots of surprise in our eyes. I said ok well I guess I better get to shopping because everything I have is pink. So it has taken a little while for this to sink in but I am getting excited!!! He will be here around December 30th.

Girls Weekend in Hot Springs

This past weekend we got together with some friends from Tennessee. It is mom's best friend from high school and her daughter. I wish we lived closer together because we all know how to have a pretty darn good time. It was great to just catch up and spend a little time together in the water and shopping. Maggie had a great time with Missy the babysitter while we went out for a while. I hope that we can do this again soon. I had a great time!!!Maggie entertains herself in this bucket with a little water. Sometimes she just gets in herself.

Since Maggie doesn't always smile for the camera I told her to show me her teeth. This is the precious little face that I got. I love this pic.

She does love to eat some popsicles.

Giving Patti a hug (or maybe she wanted out of that chair). She loved to say "Patti" and put her hands up like she didn't know where she was.

Great picture girls.

I really like this pic of mom and I.

Best friends forever!!

Great friends forever!!

Great pic!!

Swimming Lessons

Maggie just finished her second summer of swimming lessons. We were in the mom and tot class. Some of the same kids were in her class last year. We also had the same teacher (Mrs. Barbara) as last year. She did really well. By the end of the second week she was kicking very well, going under water and not really letting it bother her, jumping off the side of the pool, pulling herself almost all the way out of the water, and being able to hold on to the side by herself. We had a friend in our class this year which was really fun. Hudson is only 6 months old but Maggie really enjoyed seeing the baby every day. I am so happy that we have done this every year now. It is so fun to see the improvement in just 2 weeks of a 30 minute class. These pics were on the last day of class and the only day that I had remembered to take my camera.

Jello Jigglers

Maggie and I decided one day to try and make some Jello Jigglers!!! Well it didn't work out as well as we had planned. They didn't come out of the pan. I don't know what I did wrong but we had a great time trying to get them out and playing in the Jello. We had red fingers when craft time was over.

She said "I give up Mom they won't come out".

In-Sync Exotics

I saw an ad in a local magazine about this place called In-Sync Exotics. It is an animal (cat) rescue place and this lady just started in a very small area and it has grown and grown. She has a lot of cats but also has some a few other animals. She had just gotten 3 new white lions on 7/10/09. It was a lot of fun to take Maggie to see the cats and to see her reaction. Every cat she saw she said "awwwww baby" or "cat cat" . We had a great time visiting the cats and will be sure to got back visit again soon. You can visit their website at http://www.insyncexotics.com/ .

This is one of the new lions.

"Hey Maggie look behind you"

Another white lion that was new to the exhibit.

Darby Kate's 2nd Birthday

This past weekend was Darby Kate's 2nd Birthday Party. It had a watermelon theme. We made cookies, cupcakes, and Darby's cake that all looked like watermelons. We ate real watermelon and had a snow cone trailer come and gave the kids snow cones. It was so hot outside that the snow cones were a real hit. The icing on the cupcakes melted it was so hot. They had a huge water slide and kiddie pool for everyone to play in. Everyone had a great time. Darby enjoyed opening presents until she found one she liked and then she was done. She just wanted to play with her baby she got and then a microphone that Maggie gave her. She sang and sang and sang.

Waiting in line for a snow cone. We always chose a color that was white so that our face was not a pretty bright color.
