Olivia's 1st Birthday

Saturday afternoon we went to Ft. Worth for Olivia's 1st Birthday party. This was Turners first birthday party to attend. It was only the second time that Tessa, Hannah and I had been together with our children. Tessa has 2 standard poodles and so that is where Maggie stayed the entire time. Olivia had a cupcake and polka dot party and it was just precious. She is a cutie and loved digging into that cake!!! Maggie kept asking for some while Olivia was eating so Tessa would cut her some and give it to her. We had a great time getting together with friends. So we even tried to get all the kids together in one picture. Turner was the only one who stayed where we put him. After a few pics the kids all decided that they would rock Turner all at once. He was kept safe by the car seat!!! Happy Birthday Olivia!!!!!

Bedtime

Anyone who knows us knows that we have had bedtime issues lately. Maggie is sleeping in her own bed now and not in mine. So the other night I had Turner in my arms and needed to get Maggie ready for bed so I put him in her bed for the moment while I got her dressed. She thought that was the best thing ever. So she cuddled with him, played with him, kissed on him and did about everything so I wouldn't turn off the lights. So we read 2 books and then Turner and I left the room. Now every night at bedtime she wants Turner to lay on the pillow. So now they both get to hear bedtime stories. It is pretty cute!!!

1 Month Old

My sweet baby boy is one month old. How does time pass so fast. It was just the other day that I was planning for his arrival. I never understood how you could love two babies so much until the day I had Turner. It is just one of those things that you have to experience for yourself. He has been such a joy to have around. His big sister is such a good helper and when she is being a little rough he just takes it and prays that mommy is very close around. He sleeps very well and usually gets up 2 times during the night. That is great in my book. He loves to be held and cuddled very tight. I love to do just that. He is growing very fast and it is making me sad. The last visit to the doctor he weighed 9lbs 15 oz. So that is 2 lbs in 1 month. If he continues at that rate he will catch up with his sister very fast. I have loved this past month. It has been the best month of my life being a mother of 2 sweet, beautiful children.

Family

My aunt has been here in Dallas with me for the past 10 days. She was such a help and came at the perfect moment. Sunday we met some friends at Chuck E Cheese. We had a doctors appointment for both kids on Tuesday so it was such a help to have an extra set of hands with me. Turner went for a jaundice check and it was perfect. He weighed 9 lbs 2 oz and his jaundice was down to 3.3. So we were very happy for the great news. Maggie on the other hand had nasty cough and runny nose. So we got meds for her and worked on getting her well. On Wednesday we went to my mom and dad's house in Hope and had dinner with Trevor and Jodi and also got to see their new house. Thursday we went on to Hot Springs and Mom and Dad came on Friday. We just stayed around the house Friday and then we went to the races on Saturday. Maggie had a babysitter and Turner got to go for the first time. He was such a little trooper. Sunday we packed up and came home. Linda Lee was catching Maggie's cold and so was I. We had a great time together and I am so thankful for her coming and helping me out. I have such a great family and a wonderful support system!!!
