New Years Eve

We went to Sherry's house for New Years Eve. Neither of us had plans so she invited us to dinner. She threw some things together and we had dinner over there. We also built a fire outside and made smores. The kiddos loved it! It was kind of chilly that night but it didn't bother them. After smores we sent the kids on a scavenger hunt around the house for things to help them make resolutions for 2011. They found tooth brushes, apples, candy, bath bubbles and then they got a toy. So they made resolutions like brush their teeth twice a day, eat fruits and veggies, take a bath, pick up toys, and a little candy every now and then can't hurt either. We were home about 8:30 and went to bed. Pretty sure I was asleep before the ball dropped. I knew that my kids would welcome the New Year next year bright and early. Happy New Years. Goodbye 2010!!!Wanting to get outside and see the dogs.

Christmas Day 2010

Santa found us at Babe and Poppy's house this year. He was very good to us too. Christmas morning when Maggie came in she was without words for a while. She looked around and then found her baby and matching pjs that Santa brought her. She loved them. We got to play with all her stuff and then Turner got up. He had a big smile on his face when he saw everything. He loved it all. We got out Little People and Weebles and had a great time. Maggie loved his stuff as much as her own. We played around the house for a while and called Jackson and Mimi to say Merry Christmas. Then it was time to go to Trevor and Jodi's house for brunch. He cooked a pork tenderloin along with lots of other goodies. It was fabulous. We stayed there all day playing and watching movies and playing some more. The kids never got out of their pj's. We had such a great day spending time with family. Jodi's mom and dad were also there. We had lots to play with and lots of people to play with us. Trevor cooked deer steaks for dinner and again it was great. We all had a great day!!!

He loves to knock down blocks or anything that you build for him.

Christmas Eve

This is the sunrise we woke up to on Christmas Eve. We were at the lake in Hot Springs. We loaded up everything and went home to Hope. We played around all afternoon. Wendy and Mary came by so that they could see the kids and Wendy could meet Turner. We got dressed and went to Trevor and Jodi's house for appetizers before we went to church. We attempted to allow both kiddos to stay in the service but that proved to be very challenging. Turner went to the nursery with Jorgia where they could play. I went and got them at the end of the service. Mom was letting Maggie hold the candle as we were leaving and she some how burned her hand with the wax. She was pretty loud about it all too.

After church we went back to Trevor and Jodi's house to open presents. We always open on Christmas Eve. It was time for Turner to go to bed so I let him open one or two presents and then it was off to bed for him. The girls really enjoyed opening all the presents. They got lots that were just alike so that it made it fun. We had chili and potato soup after presents were opened. I don't know that the girls even ate they just played with all the new toys that they got. Then it was off to bed so we could wait for Santa.

We attempted to get a picture of the grandmothers with all their grandchildren. Looks like our group didn't want to participate.

Not sure what all the tears were about.
