Where has the time gone?

My little man is already 2 months old? How is that possible? I am not sure where the time has gone but he is 2 months old!!! I am trying to cherish all the little baby times. He already looks like a little boy and not my baby boy!!! He is smiling and talking all the time. If you look at him and talk he will talk back and smile from ear to ear. I just love it! He loves his sister and will always look where she is and smile. We went for his 2 month check and weighed in at 13 lbs. 75% in both height and weight. Look at his cheeks --- yep he is mine!!! He is such a joy to be around. He only cries when he is hungry and sometimes when he wants you to hold him. Other than that he is pretty content. What a blessing he is to me and this family. We love you Turner!!!

Ash Wednesday

This past Wednesday we went to church as usual on Ash Wednesday. We had a great service. I am not sure what started this tradition but I have always taken Maggie's picture in the bumbo in this green chair on Ash Wednesday after church. So I got the bumbo and was going to put Turner in it and Maggie decided that she wanted to be in it. So I got the traditional picture along with some of Maggie and Turner. I love going back and looking at pictures from a year ago and seeing how much she has changed. It always blows my mind.

We went to Hot Springs last weekend for some fun!!! Patti and Megan met us there and it is always so much fun to hang out with them. So lets just say Dad had lots of Valentines on Saturday night when we went out for dinner. We went to the races on Saturday which is always fun for me. I love the races even though I don't really ever win. After the races and a little rest we went to dinner. We went to Central Park Fusion and it was very good. We did visit the piano bar for a few songs before we had to let the babysitter go home. Sunday we just stayed around the house and Trevor, Jodi, Darby Kate and Jorgia came over around lunch. Always love getting those girls together --- you never know what to expect. We headed home after lunch because we had a Valentine dinner with daddy. Well we got a few bites down before we boxed it up and headed home because we had a little ballerina dancing around the restaurant. All in all we had a great weekend. Beautiful Trees

I have always loved nature photography. I always seem to be driving when I see something that would be a great picture. When I saw these trees in our neighborhood I was so excited that I could get a picture.

Snow Days

Last week when the news said that it was going to snow in Dallas I believed that we might get a few flakes here and there. When I woke up in the morning and saw about 5 inches already on the ground I was in shock. I told Maggie to look outside the window and she got so excited!!! We bundled up and headed outside. We don't really have good snow clothes because we never need them. So we put on our rain boots and rain coat to keep us dry. She was not real sure what to think of it at first but then learned to love it. She wanted me to build a snowman --- so I did my best while trying to work really fast because I was really cold. We didn't have anything for the eyes so we used glasses, I did find a carrot, and we had to use a pop pop for the mouth because that was all we had. He turned out pretty cute I think. It snowed all day and night and we woke up on Friday morning with about 10 inches. The final report from DFW was 12 inches. I don't remember the last time I saw that much. It was so much fun!!!

Dress Up

Maggie got out all of her hats the other night and decided that Turner also needed a hat to wear. So she gave him the girlie hat and she took the camo one. He was a good sport and just sat there and let Maggie put it on and take it off and pull it down where he couldn't see. He is such a sweet boy. He just loves to look at Maggie and watch what she is doing. I am so glad that she loves him and he loves her.

This morning Maggie and I were sitting on the floor sharpening her colored pencils and Turner was on the floor beside me. He started crying because I was not holding him (just a little spoiled). Maggie turned to Turner and said "Turner I am right here" then turned back around. A minute later she turned to him and said "Turner I will get you in a minute". She is such a little mommy. I just smile!!!!

Peace

Mom and I found these matching pj's while we were out looking for Christmas pj's. I have been waiting for Turner to get big enough so that I could get them in these pj's together. So the other night at Babe and Poppy's the kids and I went in the back room and came out with these on. OMG they looked so cute. I just love when they match!!! So we tried to get some pics with them together. Yes I have learned with two kiddos it is not always how I want it to be. So we did get some cute pics though.

Poppy and the sweet babies!

Babe and Maggie were making Valentine cards. Mom introduced her to sissors. She didn't want to put them down.

My babies sleeping so soundly. That is a rare sight around our house. We usually have someone up and awake at every hour of the night.

I love this pic.
