Ash Wednesday

We went to church Wednesday for the ash Wednesday service. Maggie had to stay in the nursery this year though. She really does good about going in and playing with all the other kids and the teachers just love her. So when we got home I tried to recreate the setting from last year when we went and she got her ashes. It was more difficult to get the perfect pic but you can at least see how she has grown!!!

Playing at Babe and Poppy C's House

When we go to Babe and Poppy's house you never know what we will be doing. This last visit we hunted easter eggs ( we want her to be prepared for the upcomming egg hunts), played with Lexi, rode in the red mustang and played with blocks. We always have a great time.

Little Red Mustang

We went to Hope last weekend to spend some time with Babe, Poppy C, Trevor, Jodi and Darby Kate. When we got there they were at Wal-Mart buying a little red Mustang for the girls to play with. It has a working radio, horn and can go in 2 speeds and reverse. The only problem was that the girls couldn't figure out how to push the petal to make it go. Darby was the only one whose feet would reach. So we got a stick and would push the petal with the stick to make them go somewhere. Then all they wanted to do was play with the stick. I think we all had fun watching them play. They had a blast playing with the radio and horn.

Happy "V" Day

Valentines Day was a great day around our house. Maggie and I had a great day just playing around the house. When she woke up in the morning she had a tea set, a singing book and a balloon. She absolutely loves balloons!!! She gets excited when she sees them anywhere. Her tea set teaches how to say please and thank you which are two phrases we are working on. We baked cookies also. She helped me put them on the cookie sheet after she took a bite out of almost all of them. There are lots of pics because I tried to get just the perfect pic.

I love this pic!

Our Visit to see Olivia

Maggie and I loaded up on Friday and went to Ft. Worth to see Olivia and Tessa. She is a doll!!! It did make me realize that I don't want another one that close in age because I don't think that I could handle it. Maggie was all over and into everything. She was very interested in Tessa's two standard poodles. She really enjoyed their attention. Olivia is sooooo sweet and such a good baby. She just let me hold her and love on her the whole time. Maggie was not really concerned with her at all. When she was in her cradle Maggie did have to go and get a better look at her. Olivia had her hand up in the air and Maggie was trying to reach it and give her a finger to hold on too. I was not quick enough with the camera. We really enjoyed our visit!!! Tessa and Olivia we hope to see you soon!!!

Maggie's favorite thing to do is play with dogs!!! She is not afraid one bit. She let them lick her all over.

Painting our Valentines

I decided that it would be fun to make something for Valentines day. So I decided to let Maggie paint picture frames. I had it all planned out in my head how she would just love this activity. Well she did enjoy playing in the paint but she didn't want to put the paint on the frames. She just wanted to run around the garage with the paint brush and she even put the paint brush in her mouth. Yea she didn't really like the taste so she only did that once.

Weeds Weeds Weeds

Now that spring is comming and the weeds in our yard our sprouting out --- I taught Maggie how to pick the weeds (don't know the name - but it is the one you blow on and the little fuzz flies off) and to blow the little fuzz off. But we have a small problem and that is that Maggie puts it so close to her mouth that the fuzz gets stuck on her face and in her mouth. It is so funny to watch her get off. She thinks it is so fun to see her pick weeds in the yard!!! You can see the fuzz on her face after blowing it off.

Blowing the weeds ---

Who need toys we have potting soil!!!

Maggie just loves to play outside in the dirt!!! She will dig in everything and anything. We take toys outside to play with but she always ends up in the potting soil. I have a pot with nothing in it and she has the best time playing in it. I just love to see her outside and happy as can be!!!

She was telling me all about the dirt in her hands.
