The Cake

Every girl has to taste the cake batter. So we let Maggie taste and approve the cake mix. Mom, Linda Lee and I made cupcakes for everyone and we made a large cupcake for Maggie to eat all by herself. We had a great morning making the cakes.

The final product. So what do you think? I thought that it turned out great. Just how I wanted it to be.

The Playhouse

Mom had the bright idea (after seeing it on Heather and Courtney's blog) that we needed to make the little girls a play house for this weekend. It took all we had to find a box around Dallas. We tried moving companies, bike shops, and finally a Sears that had one. So we went to Rockwall and I got into the dumpster and got a box. We came home a painted it. Later that night we went to Hobby Lobby and Walmart and got the supplies needed to make a precious playhouse. We were up until about 12:00 making this thing just like we wanted it. The next morning when we got Maggie up to look at it --- she was scared. She would look but not touch. We would put her up to the door and she would start backing up. After Darby Kate got here and began playing in it --- Maggie loved it. They had a blast all weekend long going in and out.

Decorating for Her Party

Mom was hanging up a banner up over the windows and Maggie was very eager to help her. She had been trying on some new boots and her baby legs that she never got to wear last year. That is the explination for the outfit that she is wearing. She wanted to climb the ladder and also hold the hammer. These pics were too cute to pass up.

In a tight spot

She has found a tight spot that she can get to --- under the computer and behind the printer. She thinks it is so fun to get back there and play with cd's or paper that she finds. She always likes to find the smallest spaces and go through. She will go under a chair and not around it or go over the bars on the computer desk and not through the front where there are no obstacles. She always makes it though.

Cabinets

Maggie loves to explore everything. Lately if I don't hear her --- I can always find her in a cabinet somewhere. We have bought the little locks but just haven't put them on yet. She loves to play in the tupperware while I am in the kitchen cooking. She just then takes it all over the house.

Another Birthday Party

We went to another birthday party last weekend and Maggie had a great time playing with the balloons. I put her down and she would go up to the other kids who she didn't even know. She went up to one baby who was in a jumperoo and was trying to get her pop pop. She just talked to everyone --- my social butterfly.

Party Girl

We had a birthday party to go to tonight and she had such a great time. She danced to the music while the kids played musical chairs, she bounced in the bouce house with her dad, and she loved playing with the toys that Marcos got.
