Chef In Training

We were decorating cupcakes for Darby's party and we decided to let Maggie decorate one for Darby. So we put her apron on over her pj's and she went to work. She was pretty excited to get to work on that cupcake all alone. She put on the icing, then she tried to pipe on some green icing, and even put on sprinkles. There is no way a chef can make something and not try it so instead of giving it to Darby she decided to eat it herself. Here is how the process went. There are lots of pics because it was all just too cute. I think she is just too cute in her little green apron.Getting instructions from Babe.
She found a mess up we had and just tried it too.

The icing.

Well better taste the icing before we do too much. Don't we all like to lick the knife we are icing with.

Trying to pipe on a little green.

Babe had to help with the sprinkles. They come out a little too fast.

Oh she has a great idea.

Better try the work of art.

A little more icing.

The finished product.

Time to wash up.

Thelma and Louise

We took the red mustang over to Darby's house for the girls to play with. Darby has just learned how to push the petal and make it go. She gets so excited that she forgets or has yet to learn to steer. So we made it so it would go in circles for them. Every time Darby would push the petal Maggie would put her hands up like she was on a roller coaster. I am sure it felt that way because Darby would stop and go so much. They had so much fun!!! (Maggie has on her apron because she had been helping us cook and we forgot to take it off)
They were in reverse in this picture. Maggie is saying "ohhhhhhhh "

Just catching up on old times.

A Weekend Full of Fun

We were in Hope this past weekend for a couple of parties for Wendy and a birthday party for Darby Kate. We had such a good time seeing everyone. We were pretty busy the entire weekend. Maggie did lots of swimming.

Maggie and her Poppy

Going to get the paper in her pj's with Kiley and Poppy

Trying on Babe's shoes. She loves shoes. She is pretty good at walking around in big people shoes. She was even jumping around in them.

4th of July

Maggie and I went to Hot Springs for the 4th. Linda Lee and Lance were in from Florida so we got to spend some good quality time with both of them. Friday we didn't do much of anything. We took a boat ride and swim then we were all tired so we just sat on the porch all night. Saturday Darby, Jodi and Trevor came over to swim and play with us. Maggie had been asking about Darby all weekend. They swam hard and then we went in for a great lunch. We took a boat ride later in the day but Maggie was not real happy about wearing a life jacket. We sat on the porch and had snacks and watched fireworks. Maggie really liked them. Sunday morning we went to Entergy park and played on the playground before heading home. We had a great weekend.

Snack Time

Chatting before Barney starts. They were on Babe's bed watching TV.

She played in this bucket of water for about 1 1/2 hour. It was very nice to have her play alone and just be so happy.

LL and Maggie watching the fireworks.

Sitting on the steps this morning with her high heels on.

Playing at the park

Finishing the park time with a push up.

Old Times

Maggie's babysitter rolled her hair up the other day. I didn't get to see her except in a picture. Her hair was crazy today so I decided to try it for myself. She looked so cute and it reminded me of when I was little and had my rolled up and would sleep on it all night. When I took it down it was just very full. How precious is this though? I love it.
