Florida 2009

We all went to Destin for Labor Day weekend. We stayed at a new place since there was only a few of us this year. Mom and Dad and our family. I was not sure how Maggie would do on the beach with the sand but she loved it and didn't let it stop her or slow her down. She also loved the water!!! She was not scared of it and didn't mind it getting in her eyes or knocking her down. She just kept going. We never even went to the pool. Maggie played and played and played!!! I am so happy that she loves the beach as much as her mom. She was pretty worn out at the end of the day after playing so hard. There are a whole lot of pictures here!

Florida Beach Photo Session

Every year we take family photos on the beach. So this year I wasn't sure how Mag would do only because she loved the beach and the water. I was very surprised when she smiled and laughed and stayed where we put her. Marcelo was with some friends so he didn't get to get int he photos. We waited until the last night to do this. I was very happy with how our pics turned out. Now I just have the task of picking the best ones to print. After taking around 500 over the 4 days it could take a while. These are some of my favorites. Let me know what you think.

Jorgia Clay Coffee

Jorgia Clay Coffee was born August 27, 2009. She weighed 7 lb 14 oz and 20 inches long. I hope I remembered all that correctly. Maggie and I went to Hot Springs the night before to help mom with Darby Kate who stayed with us. The girls had a great time playing together (as always). We woke up and had breakfast on the patio, played in the mustang and the rocks, and then got dressed to go and wait on the baby to be born. As we all walked in the hospital Jorgia was being born at the moment. We didn't know if it was a boy or girl. The nurse came out and asked for Trevor's sister and mom raised her hand and said "right here". She was a little nervous. So she brought me the camera to catch it all on film. He came out with the biggest smile ever!!!! He said Jorgia Clay is here. None of us had ever heard that name because they kept it a secret (they kind of like secrets). Darby slept through the whole thing. When she woke up she was not real excited about looking at or talking to the baby. We took the girls home to play. Later that day we went back to see them and DKC was much more receptive. She wanted to hold her and patted on her shoulder like she carries her babies. Too cute!!!! Anyways I think she is warming up now. So glad that I got to be there for this sweet event! Love u Jorgia!

Prego Cravings

The other night I was really craving ice cream. So Marcelo was home and I asked him to give Maggie a bath while I went to Braums and get some ice cream. It took forever and you would have thought they were giving something away. So after waiting and waiting I got my cone. I walked in the door and was greeted by a clean little girl. Her arms went straight in the air and said "Bite, bite" So as I give her a bit her hands wrapped around the cone and she was off with it. She really enjoyed the ice cream. I had to chase her down just to get a bite. Oh well she did enjoy it.

Lunch with Friends

Saturday we went and had lunch at Gloria's on the lake with some friends. Tessa and Olivia, Nicole and Hudson and Charisa joined us for some great food and catching up with each other. Maggie did so good this time sitting in her high chair and not using her outside voice inside. Maybe it was the babies that kept her interest. Well maybe our next baby will keep her interest too. After lunch we all went outside by the lake and took some pics. I think they turned out pretty good!
