Weekend Wrap Up

Saturday morning we met Tessa and Olivia in Ft. Worth at the zoo. We tried our best to be there at 10 when it opened but it was about 10:30 when we got through the doors. We tried to get pics of the girls together but as you can see Maggie was only interested in touching Olivia (4 mths old). I was proud of her for wearing her hat most of the day. We went to most all of the animals. As we would pull up to the fence Maggie would say "See" and hold her hands up for me to hold her up so that she could see all the animals. She really liked the monkey's. Some were pretty close up to the window so she got a good view of them. Tessa and I had to eat pretty soon after we got there and it was nice and cool in the eatery. My gosh is it was HOT outside this past weekend. So we did the whole zoo and the final thing was the train. Maggie wanted to get Olivia out of the stroller by then. She was saying "out, out". The train ride was short and would have been easier to just walk by the time we got the strollers in and out of the train. It was time to go home by then. Maggie slept from about 2-5.

Sunday we went to church. After church we went downtown to the Farmers market. I love going down there and getting fresh fruit and veggies. It is the best. Maggie really liked the turkey leg her dad got for lunch. We went home and got on our suits so we could go to Wet Zone. Maggie LOVED it!!! She was not scared of the water at all. It has a beach entrance to one part and she would just run (from mom and dad) and fall in the water and just laugh. She is a mess. We decided that we are not going back without a life jacket or floaties. What a fun weekend. I only have pics from the zoo and there are a lot of them.

Mommy's Little Helper

Babe and Poppy got both of the girls a garden tool last year for Christmas. So after I mowed the yard the other afternoon she found the rake and wouldn't put it down. So I promptly showed her where the grass piles were and told her she could get after it if she wanted too (just joking). She walked around with and would bend down and pick grass like she was picking weeds. She is just too funny these days with all the new words and things that she does. She will say or try to say pretty much anything. Her latest is the word "cold". We have known hot for a while but now we know cold. WoW she is just growing up faster and faster every day!

We went to Braum's after picking her up from the babysitter. That is why there is chocolate all over her face.

Show US Where You Live - Office

I am so happy that I started participating in Show Us Where You Live. It was a great reason for me to clean my office and organize myself. It took quite a while this morning once I got started. I love it when it is clean and looks organized. I wonder why I don't keep it this way all the time. So my office is in our sun room. It is a large sun room and on one end I have my office and on the other end I have a sofa and chair with some toys (of course). It was added on to the house after it was built so the sun room has its own little ac system. It can get very hot out there with the hot Dallas sun beaming in on you.

So I bought the desk at Target. It is really a dining room table. They had it on clearance one spring and so I thought it would work great. It is a great desk --- very large and spacious. It is full of papers and catalogs.

I love this lamp that I got at the same time at Target on clearance. I love green and it just works in my house. I could use it in any room when I decide to change things up. I also love this black and white picture of Maggie when she was 2 months old. It is one of my favorite pics.

This is the other end of the sun room. We have a chalkboard, sofa, very comfy rocking chair, trunk and some other toys in there. So I can work a little and relax a little. It works out great. Yes you see a Christmas tree in the corner. It is a small tree with white lights. I planned on decorating it for every season. I though Maggie would really like that. Well we haven't done that yet. Still planning that crafty little session. I have lots of ideas that I haven't acted on yet.

This is a little book shelf that I got at a warehouse sale. It fits perfect and since Maggie loves to read we have books in every room. I think it is really cute.

Thanks for looking at my office space. Be sure to check out Kelly's blog to see more office spaces.

Do you think she will be a talker?

Maggie has always loved to play with my phone or any phone that is real. She knows the difference for sure. We have many play phones around the house and they are just not good enough. The other day when I came in the living room this is what I found.

Sprinkler Fun!!!

It has been so pretty outside. I am so happy that we can get outside and not have to be inside all day long. The other day I decided to get out the sprinkler and see how she would react to the water. I have seen a really cute sprinkler at Target but it was like $20. So I decided before I buy that one I would see how she did with it. Well she was not the impressed. When it would get on her head she would just stand there frozen and cry. Once she figured out where to stand it was all ok. She really enjoys being outside and she really love popsicles!!! That is for sure an outside activity! She was telling me that she wanted "mo" popsicle.
Saying "cheese"

The sprinkler got her.

Show Us Where You Live - Children's Rooms

This is Maggie's nursery. It is full of PINK!!! It took a long time to decide what shade of pink to use. I think we made a great decision with a very light pink. She has a pretty small room but it is just how I envisioned it when we were thinking of what to do. I love her bed!! It is a convertible so we will have it for a really long time (I hope). We change the picture frequently that is over her bed. It has been fun watching her grow up in all the pictures. We saw this idea of the diamonds and monogram in a magazine and we tried our best to replicate it. I really love how the monogram turned out on the wall.

We use the dresser as a changing table. We play peek a boo quite often in this mirror.

This is our toy corner. Normally full of toys and books.

Thanks for looking at Maggie's nursery. You can check out all the others nursery's on Kelly's blog.

Clickers

Maggie always loves to put on shoes!!! She will wear her shoes, your shoes or any two shoes she finds. So Babe got her some clickers (as I used to call them). She can wear and walk in these perfect. She can even run in high heals. She figured out that they make noise on the tile floor which was very neat. She was like a little "Miss Priss" in those clickers.
