12 Months

Well I can't believe that the 12 month post is already here. It seems like yesterday that he was my tiny baby and in another since it seems like he has been here forever. He has been such a joy in my life this past year. He makes me smile when I really didn't want to.

Turner is on a really good schedule compared to Maggie who is on no schedule. He takes 2 naps a day one in the morning and one in the afternoon. He goes down without a problem. He has to have his pop pop and lovie and we turn his music on. He is in bed at 7:30 every night and now sleeps until 7:30 every morning. I love it!!!

He has transitioned to the sippy cup all by himself. So he drinks from a cup all the time now. He loves his milk! He also likes to drink water too. He will eat just about anything. Veggies are a favorite of his. He really likes green beans, peas, sweet potatoes and beans. He is starting to eat more fruit. He likes applesauce and bananas and we are trying more and more fruits. He likes to eat and he likes to eat right now. He is not patient at all. When anything goes in the microwave he thinks it is for him and he will point and scream until you get it to him. Another favorite is scrambled eggs, oatmeal and grits. Some days I feel like his tummy is an empty pit the way he puts food away.

He is not walking but still just crawling everywhere he wants to go. When he wants to get somewhere fast he puts his head down and just goes!!! He is pulling up on things and will hold on and walk around the coffee table. He doesn't stand a lot on his own because he always has his big toe flexed and so he has no balance. He still has no teeth. I had Trevor look at them to make sure that there was not a problem and he said that they are there they just haven't come in. He has had an ear infection since before Thanksgiving so we have been on meds for a while. It has not been very much fun dealing with that. He has become very spoiled and just wants to be held all the time.

He is not saying many words but really he dosen't have to because Maggie or I always get what he wants. He can say Mama, and Ma (that when he wants Maggie), bye bye and the other night he said na na when it was time for night night. Maggie and I have taught him what a bear says and he will say roooooar. He thinks it is so funny.

He really enjoys playing with Maggie. He is beginning to fight back when she takes toys away from him. He holds his own with her. He plays in her little kitchen a lot and just bangs the pots and pans around. He gets a little frustrated when we act like we are feeding him from her kitchen because he really likes to eat. He will pretend for a little while and then just starts yelling at us. He got a motorcycle from Trevor and Jodi for his birthday and he loves to watch it go across the floor. He gets so excited and tries to race. He loves music. He dances when it comes on and starts to clap and smile really big.

Turner I love you so much and am so proud of you. You are my sweet little boy!!! Thanks for all the smiles and I look forward to many more. You are my little angel!!!
He would not sit still for his 12 month pic. He thought it was funny to get up and crawl off.
That monkey got him and was holding on to him.

and Turner won and got away!

too cute!

Dinner and Lights

After Turner's birthday celebration we went to Garvan Gardens to look at all the lights. We were all so happy that Ralf was a member so that we could cut line and go right in. It was very cold that night so we were all bundled up. It was so pretty out there!!!! After the lights we went home and had dinner. Mom made beef tenderloin!!! It was a great meal and we also had a great time visiting with everyone. Sweet Jorgia all bundled up!!!
Turner was riding in the back just chilling!

Mom gave the girls a nativity that was a quiet toy that we were to take to church on Christmas Eve. Maggie can name all the people. I am so proud of her.

First Eye Exam

A few weeks ago at school the kids had their eyes tested. Maggie got a good report but I got a letter about Turner saying that they detected a possible vision problem. That didn't really make me feel real good but I knew exactly who to call. SO on Turner's birthday my dad brought a few tools of the trade to Hot Springs and gave him a little exam right there after he ate lunch. Turner thought it was all pretty funny. Maggie just wanted hers done also. So he did. I think it is pretty amazing that he can do what he did and feel confident that there is no problem. I just kept saying "What is he supposed to do and what are you looking for?" I give him my 100% trust!!! Thanks Poppy for giving him his first exam on his first birthday!!!Turner thought it was all pretty funny.
"What are you doing Poppy?"

I guess he saw something pretty funny because he just laughed when he looked at these cards.

Maggie liked this part the best.

My Baby is One!!!

It is truly amazing how fast a year can go by. I just can't believe that he is 1. We celebrated his birthday along with mine in Hot Springs at Babe and Poppy's house. Linda Lee flew in for the celebration. Trevor and his family came up for the day and we had a little celebration. Maggie was pretty excited that it was his birthday!!! She was very cute. We decided to give him one present after breakfast before everyone got there. It was a police car cozy coupe. He loved it and knew just what to do -- open the door, crawl in and hold on tight! Before long Maggie was on the back or the top and they were going around and around in the house. Trevor, Jodi, Darby Kate and Jorgia arrived and we had lunch and then cake!!! I thought Turner would tear into his cake but he was not as wild as I expected. He just at the icing. Mom gave him a quick bath and we opened presents. He got a guitar, motorcycle, Woody and a few other little things. The big girls loved helping him open them. Happy Birthday Turner --- I love you so much. You make me smile!!!!Licking the beaters from Maggie and Babe making his birthday cake.
She had to have one too.

He liked it along with that Apple Bread he had for breakfast.

Maggie pushing the police car into the other room to surprise Turner. She was very excited about this part.

Turner and Poppy watching it come into the room. I wonder what it is?

He got very excited about pulling off the blanket.

" WOW mom can you believe this? I love it!!!"

He got right in and kept that smile on the whole time.

" Wow is this mine?"

"Hey look at me!"

He loved it!!!

Maggie loved it too. She loves anything with sugar in it though.
