We went a few years ago and Maggie loved it so I just knew that she would love it more now that she was bigger and knew more of the animals. This is my favorite way of seeing animals. I love the zoo but this is so much better. Turner was not afraid at all of anything. He basically hung out the window watching the animals. He would feed them with his little hand too. We are a family of animal lovers!!!!

Fossil Rim
Tessa and I always talk about getting together but we are never in town on the same weekends. We had talked about going to Fossil Rim for some time and we finally found time to do it. Fossil Rim is a 9.5 mile Scenic Wildlife Drive stretched out over 1500 acres with over 1100 animals roaming free (#'s taken from their website and I took them from Tessa's blog).

Jason let us take his truck so we would be higher and all the kids could fit on his bench seat.
Everyone trying to see what was on Tessa's side of the car.
Half way through they have a spot where you can get out and got to a petting zoo. Don't think my kids were scared. They were ready to pet everything.
I told Maggie to let him smell her hand before she just started petting this animal.
Turner was very ready!
Olivia was watching out for all the animals.

Easter Weekend 2011
Easter weekend was a great weekend in Hope. We had multiple egg hunts (at home, at church, from the Easter bunny). We started out Saturday morning going to the church for the hunt and games. They played multiple games, bounce house, Easter story, cookies, and an egg hunt. Turner was not a fan at all of the Easter bunny. Maggie sat up there on her lap and Turner wanted down as fast as possible. So we went outside for the hunt, Maggie and Turner were ready. Turner found one egg and was done! He sat down opened the egg and worked on getting it opened. Maggie did great -- she took off and got lots of eggs with lots of candy. After the hunt we went home for lunch and Jodi and I took the two big girls to see Rio. Well we really went to see HOP but it was sold out. So we went to see RIO in 3D. Maggie and Darby didn't keep the glasses on so it was a little blurry for them but all in all it was a very cute movie.
The Coffee's came over for dinner on Saturday night. When they arrived we were all outside riding the bike and Mustang. So add two more girls to the mix and call it a blast. We had so much fun outside. It was a beautiful weekend!!! My parents street is on a small hill so they ride the bike to the top and take off going pretty fast. Maggie thought it was a blast. Jorgia figured out how to drive the Mustang. So she drove Turner around and thought she was big stuff. I love those two little girls to pieces.
The Easter Bunny made a stop at Babe and Poppy's house. I think he left so pretty neat and fun stuff. Lots of books, games, bubbles, shorts and other fun stuff. He was very good to the kids. Turner didn't even notice that he had come until Maggie woke up and we pointed it out to him. We got ready for church and took lots of pictures. They were pretty cooperative. After church we found that the bunny had left eggs in the yard. So we hunted more eggs. We had lunch and then naps!!! We just had a great relaxing Easter day!
I am also very proud to say that Maggie knows why we celebrate Easter. That makes my heart smile. It is very fun to celebrate with eggs and the bunny but the real reason is Christ. Thanks to everyone who influences Maggie and Turner.

Ava's 3rd Birthday
One of Maggie's good friends Ava had her 3rd birthday party at the park one afternoon. It was western theme. They made their own stick horses. Such a very cute idea!! Then they had a stick horse race. They also had a horse pinata. Maggie beat that horse pretty good. Turner enjoyed being at the party also. It was such a pretty day but very very windy. It is always fun to be at the park and at a party at the same time. Happy Birthday Ava!!!
Pretty sure they were checking out the cake a cupcakes.
Turner just enjoyed being outside!
Ready for the race. They got to color the horse heads and then they taped them on a yard stick that was painted brown. Great take home gift!
Thats the only picture I got of Ava and Maggie together.
Love the stance Maggie.
