Fossil Rim

Tessa and I always talk about getting together but we are never in town on the same weekends. We had talked about going to Fossil Rim for some time and we finally found time to do it. Fossil Rim is a 9.5 mile Scenic Wildlife Drive stretched out over 1500 acres with over 1100 animals roaming free (#'s taken from their website and I took them from Tessa's blog).

We went a few years ago and Maggie loved it so I just knew that she would love it more now that she was bigger and knew more of the animals. This is my favorite way of seeing animals. I love the zoo but this is so much better. Turner was not afraid at all of anything. He basically hung out the window watching the animals. He would feed them with his little hand too. We are a family of animal lovers!!!!
Jason let us take his truck so we would be higher and all the kids could fit on his bench seat.

Everyone trying to see what was on Tessa's side of the car.

Half way through they have a spot where you can get out and got to a petting zoo. Don't think my kids were scared. They were ready to pet everything.

I told Maggie to let him smell her hand before she just started petting this animal.

Turner was very ready!

Olivia was watching out for all the animals.

The zebras came right on in the car. They also chewed on the mirrors. Sorry Jason!

The most exciting was getting to feed the giraffe!

Tessa was joking and said "Watch out for the zebras." We looked over and all about jumped out of our skin. They were right there. I had to quickly move Turner.

These Emus really like to come in the car and eat from your hand.

Turner was ready to feed that emu.

We wore them out. They were sleeping right after we left. Maggie was the last to give it up.

What a great trip with great friends.
