We celebrated Christmas in Hope. We went on Christmas Eve despite the weather. We got out of Dallas before the bad weather hit. Marcelo had to work but he got out in time and made it to Hope safely. Turner and Maggie did great. We asked Trevor and Jodi to come over before church to try and get a picture of all four grandchildren together in their Christmas outfits. What a chore that was!!! We did get a few good shots. I just knew that Maggie would want to hold Turner (she always does) when she saw Darby hold
Jorgia. I was wrong --- she pushed him away and so we
propped him up on a pillow in front of the girls. After pictures we went to church and the girls got to stay in the service with us. That was fun!!! Glad we had a bag of tricks to keep them content. What more can we ask --- they did just what 2 year
olds do - talk and wiggle. After church we went home and got into matching pj's and tried again to get a group shot. We got one or two that are cute. We sure ask a lot of the children to sit still and smile at the same time. We opened presents ---we decided to only do for the children this year and it was much less stressful. They had a great time opening for their brother and sister also. Trevor made chili so we had dinner and just enjoyed
everyone's company.
Santa came to Babe and Poppy's house on Christmas morning so we got to see what he brought. Maggie decided to get up at 5:30 a.m. and play!!! I was not ready for that adventure with Turner and Maggie both up that early. We were in the living room with all the Santa presents and she never even looked over there and noticed that they were new presents. So we waited until everyone got up to open Santa presents. We had a great time with everything that he brought. Later that morning Wendy and Mary came over to see Turner. It was great to see you all. It was really just a lazy day. We never went anywhere or did anything. Lauren came over that afternoon after lunch and visited. It was great to be lazy and just be with family.
Mom had driven me to Hope. She had to work on Monday and then she took us all back to Dallas. Marcelo had gone home on Saturday afternoon. So we got to visit with a few more friends in Hope before we left. We had a great Christmas and I can't believe that I had 2 children this year!!! What a blessing!!!
