Getting to Destin

We decided to fly to Destin this year instead of the 12 hour car ride.  Maggie and Turner were both very excited to fly in the big plane!  We didn't fly out until 7:45pm so we had all day to think about it and get excited.  We got to the airport a little early due to very little Friday afternoon traffic and Maggie begging to leave the house.  It only took us 45 minutes to get from our car in the parking lot, ride the bus to the terrminal, check our bags and get through security.  So with time to spare we walked around the airport and found a playground to play on.  That kept us entertained for a good 45 minutes.  After that we slowly made our way to our gate and got ready to board the plane.  Both kids did so well!  I was so proud of Maggie for sitting in her own seat on the other side all by herself.  We got to Destin about 9:45 and both kids were still wide awake and ready to see Babe and  Poppy!  We got to bed about 12:00.  We were all exhausted but happy to be together!
