Every year I we go to
Northpark and have our picture made with Santa. I think he is pretty real looking myself. They hand out numbers starting at 9:30 a.m. and he starts pictures at 11:00. He reads a story to the kids at 10:00 and then he starts at 11:00. They are very strict about getting in line to early. They will make you move or tell you to come back later. Some years it takes hours of waiting to get your picture made. I think it was 2009 with just Maggie (prior to the birth of Turner) that we waited 6 hours. We walked around and shopped and ate and watched Scrooge in another part of the mall. We also saw many
choirs sing before it was our turn. I have a friend who works at
Northpark and I called her to get me a number last year so I didn't have to wait all day with Turner and it worked out great. So I called her this year and she did the same thing. She puts my number in the office and I just go pick it up and go get in line. It is fabulous!!! Thanks a million Chris!!!
So we go up there and Maggie was pretty excited about getting to see him and then she started backing up. I though oh no I am not getting in this picture. She got up there with this little shy look and Turner was just like "Who are you?". After this one picture with a smile from Turner he was done. No more smiles!!! Maggie had the same look in all the pictures so it was a pretty easy choice. Maggie told him in a
whisper that she wanted a pink
puter (computer) and that Turner wanted a train. That was news to me --- maybe Turner told her to say that I don't know. I was pleased to say the least.
